Pippa Hague
With a passion for travel and adventure Pippa and her camera have touched many corners of the globe. Over 15 years of international exploration have built up a varied portfolio. Whilst the dramatic landscapes of the Australian Bush she now calls home will always be a calling, her passion is to capture the essence of the tribal communities, landscapes and four legged residents she meets in her travels.
The challenges faced by many First Nation peoples across the globe, as they seek to protect indigenous cultures, are real. The communities in many countries struggling to balance the traditions of their heritage with the desire to participate in the global economy, benefit from improved healthcare and educational opportunities and experience the facets of modernity taken for granted across first world countries. Many countries, Australia and Papua New Guinea amongst them, have struggled with the balance often to the detriment of the up coming generations.
It is this challenge that underpins the purpose of Pippa's art. Being fortunate enough to travel and document the experiences has motivated her to want to invest back into the communities visited, with a percentage of the profits from all sales being contributed to NGO's, Charities and community projects known to be having successful impacts into the areas visited.
The community projects supported will be targeting issues close to Pippa’s heart such as domestic violence (PNG), HIV| AIDs support for children (PNG), Global awareness campaigns (Omo Valley, Ethiopia) and the protection of animals and their natural habitats (RSPCA)
