Survival | The Omo Valley Tribes

A massive hydroelectric dam and associated land grabs for plantations threaten the tribes of the Lower Omo River. The tribes have lived in this area for centuries and have developed techniques to survive in a challenging environment. They have not given their free, prior and informed consent for the dam or the plantations and have already started to lose their livelihoods based on the river’s natural flood cycle.

Survival is a global movement for tribal peoples’ rights. They are the only organisation that champions tribal peoples around the world, helping them defend their lives, protect their lands and determine their own futures.

RSPCA | Katoomba

The RSPCA at Katoomba, here in the Blue Mountains, is our charity of choice for all our pictures of beasts, bees and birds.

The Katoomba RSPCA hold a special place in our hearts as they were where our three beautiful rescue doggos were before they found their forever home with us.

Rocky J, Franki’tastic and Mr Cash have all had tough starts to their lives - now they get to be gainfully employed as company therapy dogs, providing psychological support and unconditional love on those work from home days - the best days of the week.

City Mission | PNG

The amazing images from the Goroka show will all be sold with 20% of profits being donated to City Mission PNG. The City Mission project has been running for over 25 years and is well regarded locally for making a real difference to communities of PNG.

City Mission PNG Ltd. operates Haus Ruth, providing services in Port Moresby and a Meri Seif Haus in Lae. The dedicated staff at Haus Ruth have been working to meet the needs of gender based violence survivors since 2003.

As one of the few, long term care facilities in PNG, they provide immediate shelter and security for battered women. Over the length of their stay women and their children receive housing, food, clothing, counselling and medical care if needed.

They are able to offer these services free at the point of need because of the generous donations of individuals, NGOs and local businesses.
