We watch the animals and they watch us. Some view us as protectors, others as predators and a few as potential prey.
Living in our homes or ranging the lands, our symbiotic relationship with animals is pivotal to our success as humans, whether they act as coworkers, companions or food. As our success continues to demand an ever increasing burden from the earth, humans continue to reduce the natural habitats of many magnificent creatures driving them closer to becoming endangered or even extinct.
The work of rangers and wildlife conservation agencies is, in many cases, the last hope for these animals. Using our tourism dollars consciously to visit and support those fighting to protect the remaining animals from the impact of humans is a social responsibility I take seriously.
