Australia | Blue Mountains
The Blue Mountains in NSW, Australia, are where I currently calls home. With a horizon to horizon view of eucalyptus trees that appear to stretch on forever, the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area is truly breathtaking.
The perpetual challenge for Blue Mountains landscape photography is attempting to capture the rock formations, the colossal scale of the bush views and the vastness of the Australian skyline.
As a keen bushwalker and trail runner I often find myself hitting the rise of a peak and stopping to stare in wonderment at the beauty of the view.
Visitors to Australia flood to the higher parts of the mountain range - the three sisters at Katoomba being a favoured destination by cruise ships and tour buses alike. For me I recommend the walks around the Wentworth falls for the most magestic of the bush walks and Leura village for the quintessential Australian village life, with beautiful boutiques and divine coffee shops.
Spring and autumn tend to be easier bushwalking weather with a gentle 20+ degrees and rain being a rarity.
