Zanzibar | Jambiani beach

Zanzibar is a beautiful introduction to Africa, its pace slow and gentle, its people welcoming and Zanzibar is by far the most relaxing and enjoyable diving I have undertaken. Warm crystal clear waters host a multitude of tropical fish. The visibility is so good that the snorkelling is almost as good as the diving - but there are a couple of great drift dives that you need to get deep for. A great spot for new divers to build up water confidence with infinite visibility and experienced instructors.

The beaches are long, slow, gentle undertakings where the seafood is caught fresh direct from the beach and there is always a little beach hut selling cold beer and fresh fish curry.

The idealised dream of white beaches, gentle surf and warm rays are here, easy to travel around and hard to leave.
